   1984
Ben Braunberger began development of his first automatic button assembly machine on a moonlighting basis. His machine soon marked the beginning of Tecre.


1987
March
Ben delivered his first 3" Electric Button Assembly Machine to Muscatine, Iowa.


1989
Received the first of three patents.


1990
February
Began full time operation of Tecre. Doors are opened in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.


1991
Introduced square and rectangular buttons. Began production of Die Cutting Press and Button Assembly Modules.


1992
February
Exhibited at first tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada.


1994
September
Delivered first 4" Electric Button Assembly Machine.


1995
March
Introduced a full line of button parts.


1996
August
Started selling Manual Button Assembly Machines.

September
Moved into our new factory.


1999
Designed Electric Photo Punch and Keychain Button Punch.


2000 S’ Se Habla Espa–ol
TECRE opens its doors to the Spanish speaking world by adding a bilingual sales and marketing assistant and advertising in Latin America.


March
Received Manual Machines Patent.


2002
April
Tecre introduces the adjustable rotary cutter.

May & August
Received two additional patents on manual machines.


September
Tecre makes addition to the 1996 factory and tripled the size of manufacturing facility.


2003 April
Tecre introduces its 1-1/2" Square button size.

Tecre adds new style prongs to its line.
